Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the AfterSnap mobile application, website, recognition service, and related features (together, the “Service”). By downloading or using AfterSnap, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Who May Use AfterSnap

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to use the Service. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.

What AfterSnap Does

AfterSnap analyzes content you choose—such as photos, screenshots, text, or dictation—and suggests actions such as creating a contact, event, reminder, expense, note, Wi-Fi configuration, or translation. Some recognition uses third-party AI services. The Service includes a free tier and may offer paid AfterSnap Plus features with higher usage limits.

Review Before You Act

Recognition and AI-generated results can be incomplete, incorrect, or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing names, dates, times, addresses, prices, translations, medicine-related text, network details, and all other results before saving, sharing, relying on, or acting on them. AfterSnap is a productivity tool and does not provide medical, financial, legal, safety, or other professional advice.

Your Responsibilities

You agree that you will:

• Use AfterSnap only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• Submit only content you have the right to use and process.
• Respect the privacy, confidentiality, copyright, and other rights of others.
• Review and approve results before they are added to another app or service.
• Keep your device and Apple account reasonably secure.

Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Submit government IDs, bank cards, or content whose processing would violate law or another person’s rights.
• Use the Service to deceive, harass, threaten, exploit, or harm anyone.
• Upload malware or interfere with, probe, overload, bypass, or disrupt the Service or its security controls.
• Use automated means to scrape, extract, or make excessive requests outside the normal app experience.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, modify, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works from AfterSnap except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Use recognition results to make high-impact decisions about another person without appropriate human review and a lawful basis.

Your Content

You retain your rights in content you submit. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, format, and process that content only as necessary to provide, secure, and support the Service. This license ends when the relevant processing and permitted retention end, except where we must retain information by law.

AfterSnap Plus & Billing

AfterSnap Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription. Available plans, prices, billing periods, trials, and benefits are shown in the app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription renews automatically and Apple may charge your account for the next period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.

Apple handles billing, refunds, and purchase restoration under its terms and policies. We may change Plus features or pricing prospectively; changes to an active subscription take effect as permitted and communicated through Apple. The free tier and usage limits may also change over time.

Our Intellectual Property

AfterSnap, including its software, visual design, trademarks, text, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms and the End User License Agreement, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service.

Third-Party Services

AfterSnap relies on services provided by Apple and other providers, including cloud infrastructure, AI processing, and diagnostics. Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, and features may change if those services change or become unavailable.

Service Availability & Changes

We may update, add, remove, limit, suspend, or discontinue features to improve AfterSnap, protect users, comply with law, or address technical and business needs. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device, iOS version, region, or type of content.

Suspension & Termination

You may stop using AfterSnap at any time. We may limit or suspend access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, abused the Service, or threatened its operation. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute terms—will survive.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from or related to the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for AfterSnap during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$50. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your content, or your material breach of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own actions or where such an obligation is prohibited by applicable consumer law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the place where AfterSnap’s developer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Your local mandatory consumer protections and any rights to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction remain unaffected.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the current version here and update the date above. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the app. Your continued use after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law.
